After a fantastic potluck supper, President Tom called the May 13 special informational meeting to order at 6:00 PM. 15 members were present. No secretary or treasurer’s reports were read at this time.

The President informed the club of its status of decreased membership (approximately 50%) and that we need to regroup, reorganize and set some goals and objectives for the upcoming season. He also reminded the club that we had been contacted by the IRS concerning our responsibility to file income tax returns. Audrey has taken all needed information to an accountant. Tom informed the club that VP George McPherson and Membership Chair Linda Alverson have respectfully declined their positions and asked for nominations for these positions. A motion by Bill Johnson, seconded by Dan Bridgham to nominate Debi Kenney as Membership Chair. The vote was unanimous. A motion by Bill Johnson, seconded by Paul Gray to nominate Beech Kenney as Vice President. The vote was unanimous. Our slate of officers for the 2006-2007 season is:
President: Tom Aasbo
Vice President: Beech Kenney
Secretary: Debi Kenney
Treasurer: Audrey Currier
Project Director/Trail Master: Paul Gray
MSA Director: Todd Weeks
Alternate MSA Director: Tom Aasbo
Membership Chair: Debi Kenney

Trail Master: Paul requested volunteers to be appointed to a Trails Committee. Their purpose will be to come up with plans and organization of trail locations, trail work to be done, signing etc. This will result in better communication and a team effort in providing the best trails for our club. Under the direction of Trail Master Paul Gray, volunteers include; Warren Bullock, Donald Whipple, Tom Dittus, Al Currier, Bill Johnson and Beech Kenney. It was also suggested that Mark Rafford be added to the committee. Paul Gray is calling a trails meeting on May 25th at 7:00 PM at his house.
Old Business:  There was more discussion on our groomer and the cost of what servicing needs to be done. This lead to more discussion of the possibility of purchasing a new groomer. After lengthy discussion, a motion was made by Warren Bullock, seconded by Al Currier to purchase a new groomer.  The vote was unanimous . The Trails Committee was given authority to decide which groomer to purchase and to meet with town officials from Oxbow and Masardis on possible financing options.
New Business: The President recommended the Web Site continue to be hosted and maintained by Bill Johnson and that the site include the slate of officers.
Bill welcomed any suggestions to improve the site.
Sylvia Bridgham offered to be in charge of club advertising again this year.
It appears the club mission statement is “Team Effort” in all the things we do this year. Congratulations to all incoming officers and good luck for a successful season.
